This smoothie is quick and easy to make and has a punch to it. So if you’re into a bit of spiciness – this one’s for you. Plus for an additional boost – add Reishi Powder – my special go to cold, flu, and sore throat ingredient. So grab the ingredients below and give them a whirl in your blender.

Pineapple – is the ultimate natural flu fighter as it contains the anti-inflammatory enzyme bromeliad which helps boost your immune system and fight against colds and flu in winter
Banana – are soft, nutritious fruits that are easy to swallow and gentle on your throat. They also contain Vitamin C to help your body fight infections, along with B6 and Magnesium
Spinach – contains Vitamin C which is a powerful nutrient that can help reduce symptoms of sickness; plus it’s packed with numerous antioxidants and beta carotene
Turmeric – is rich in vitamin C and vitamin B6, contains a potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties; has antiviral and antibacterial properties that can help fight infection and anti-inflammatory properties that help relieve the symptoms of cough and cold.

INGREDIENTS
1 c Pineapple chunks
1 Banana
1 c Spinach
1 tsp Turmeric, freshly grated
1 tsp of Ginger, freshly grated
1-2 grinds of Black Pepper
½ c Almond Milk
1 tbls Reishi Powder

INSTRUCTIONS
Place all ingredients in your blender, and blend until smooth. For a thicker consistency, add ice and blend again.
